We had been on another theme hunt lately to find the perfect theme for an online-shop in kids couture: Baby Kochs. This is interesting because you can go two opposite routes design wise with kids fashion. Either playful to satisfy the baby/kid aspect or classy and stylish to go with a high fashion look. They do not mix well though. After evaluating somewhat between 10 and 15 themes we chose Savoy. A young but beautiful theme with comprehensive WooCommerce support.

Features

For 59$ you buy the Themeforest standard license with future update and 6 months of support. Savoy comes bundled with a stripped down Visual Composer (34$), Slider Revolution (25$) and the well known and 4.5 star rated Contact Form 7 included. Savoy also features team and portfolio custom post types as well as a shareable wishlist

Sturdiness

Savoy is very well coded. We have the following WooCommerce extensions installed which the theme handles without complaints

Whenever we found little bugs ~ like the wishlist-social-shares sharing empty wishlists ~ they got corrected within the next release usually in fewer than two weeks time.

Support

NordicMade’s helpdesk is done via Ticksy and they have always responded spot on within 24 hours to my tickets. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here.

Conclusion

I had been a little sceptic at first because Savoy is the one and only item with not many sales from NordicMade on Themeforest. In a scenario like that you buy the cat in the sack 😉 In this case my worries have not been verified. Savoy truly is a premium theme. It is well coded and professionally supported.

We had a little issue with tax not displaying sometimes on some devices. We could not pinpoint this volatile bug but expect the combination of Savoy, WooCommerce and Comet Cache to have caused it.

The included Visual Composer is not my favorite page builder because it spews shortcodes everywhere.
