Companies prefer to get staff in an agile manner nowadays, shifting from classic full-time-employment to hiring freelance talent as business demands. In fact, the Staffing Industry Association saw the online staffing market grow 60% in 2013 (source), and there are no signs of that growth slowing down.
People are responding in choosing freelance as their form of work at increasing rates. Freelance numbers have increased by 45% from just under 6.2 million to 8.9 million in 2013, making them the fastest growing group in the EU labour market (source).
With this explosion in growth the freelance economy needs new tools and services. Companies need to find the right person for the job quickly and reliably and freelancers need to constantly find projects that fit their skillset.
